Pumpkin Night--All Hallows Eve

October 31, 2017 -- Join us for Pumpkin Night--All Hallows Eve!  A fun event for all ages! From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., come carve a pumpkin!  At 7:00 p.m., see them lit on the ramp and front stairs of the church and sing pumpkin carols.  At 8:30 p.m., there will be a Dracula Suite and Kyle Brazauski will play Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.   [ more ]

Rummage Sale--November 3 and 4, 2017

Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 - The Annual Rummage Sale will be held on Friday, Nov. 3, opening at 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 4 opening at 9:00 a.m.  Please note that due to construction around the building, we cannot accept donations of furniture for the November Rummage Sale.more ]

Mission Trip Thank You Dinner

September 30, 2017 -- On Saturday evening, the Senior High youth and adults who participated in the 11th Annual Mission Trip to Cedar Grove, West Virginia, offered a delicious Thank You dinner to the congregation in appreciation for their support.  [ more ]

Exciting Progress on our New Heating System

After countless hours of research and consideration, the Board of Trustees has approved a $386,075 contract with CT HVAC, Inc. to replace our heating system. After adding 20% for unexpected occurrences and cosmetic repairs once the job is completed, the total estimated cost for the project is $463,290.  The new heating system is currently being installed, and we are making great progress. Diana Majchrzak Appreciation Sunday

September 24, 2017  -- For 18 years, Diana Majchrzak was the welcoming face and voice of our congregation, and it is with a deep sense of thanksgiving for her grace-filled service that we were able to show our appreciation and celebrate her ministry among us with a reception at Coffee Hour following the 10:00 a.m. service. Meet our New Youth Ministry Team!

We are excited to announce our new Youth Ministry Team!  

The Board of Christian Education, working with a smaller committee made up of youth and adults who have worked with our youth, evaluated our program, interviewed candidates, and have selected three people to lead our Youth program.  

We are adopting a team model of youth leadership, with three paid leaders, as well as including the dedicated parents and adults volunteers who have added so much to our program.  [ more ]

Wallingford Workcamp Team 2018

The Wallingford Workcamp Team 2018 project is well underway and gathering momentum, but still needs your help! Our church, in partnership with the non-profit Group Mission Trips, will be hosting a work camp here in town from July 8-14, 2018. [ more ]

Books and Beyond 2017-2018

Books and Beyond, our monthly book club group, will begin our discussions on Tuesday, September 26, and meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month through May, not including December.  Anyone interested in books and great conversation is welcome to join us!  [ more ]

Holy Joe's Cafe' Launches its own Non-profit

September 1, 2017 - At the August 28, 2017 Church Council Meeting, Holy Joe's Cafe', which has been a ministry of our church since 2006, was voted to become it's own separate 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Holy Joe's Cafe', Inc.  The paperwork has been completed, their Board formed, their approval from the State of Connecticut finalized, and their federal 501(c)3 status pending, meaning that now donations to Holy Joe's can go directly to the new entity.  The mission of providing coffee, tea and hot chocolate to military chaplains and the troops continues!
