A World of Stories – A Multimedia Journey
6:00 p.m. Homemade Soup & Sandwich Supper followed by the Lenten Program at 6:45 p.m.

Our Lenten series this year invites us to reflect on the stories of our faith, the stories of our lives, and stories from the life of the world around us. Through the media of print, documentary and feature films, and personal story sharing – we will experience together stories that can touch the heart, mind and soul. [ more ]


Wednesday Morning Lenten Study: The Life, Faith and Writings of C.S. Lewis

Wednesday Mornings, February 21-March 28, 2018--Join us for Adult Study and Conversation on Wednesday mornings during Lent from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse to engage in the life, faith and writings of C.S. Lewis, considered by many to be the greatest Christian writer of the 20th century. [ more ]


Come Walk With Me--A Choral Sermon

Sunday, February 25, 2018 -- "Come Walk With Me...Through the Passion and Resurrection of Christ", a musical composition by Pepper Choplin, will be offered during the 10:00 a.m. worship service.

We plan to have a visual presentation simultaneously with the music. This presentation will include contemporary interpretations as well as historical pictures. [ more ]


Order Easter Flowers for our Sanctuary

During Lent, you will have the opportunity to purchase Easter Flowers to decorate the Sanctuary for Easter Sunday.  Tulips, hyacinths, daffodils or lilies can be ordered in honor or memory of a loved one. Flowers must be ordered by Sunday, March 25 by placing the order form in the offering plate or returning it to the church office.  [ more ]


Books and Beyond 2018

Books and Beyond, our monthly book club group, will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month through May.  Anyone interested in books and great conversation is welcome to join us! The book discussion for February will be integrated with our Lenten Supper Series. Come at 6:00 pm and enjoy a choice of Cameroonian soup (prepared by Rev. Jay) or a good old American chicken vegetable option, or come just for the book conversation at 7:00. [ more ]


Winter Youth Retreat to Silver Lake

All of our youth in Grades 6-12 are invited to a Winter Youth Retreat from February 23-25 at the Silver Lake Conference Center.

Wallingford Workcamp Team 2018

The Wallingford Workcamp Team 2018 project is well underway and gathering momentum, but still needs your help! Our church, in partnership with the non-profit Group Mission Trips, will be hosting a work camp here in town from July 8-14, 2018. [ more ]


Our New Heating System is Complete!

After countless hours of research and consideration, the Board of Trustees has approved a $386,075 contract with CT HVAC, Inc. to replace our heating system. After adding 20% for unexpected occurrences and cosmetic repairs once the job is completed, the total estimated cost for the project is $463,290.  The new heating system is finally installed, and we are enjoying the delights of silent, reliable heat in the Sanctuary! Holy Joe's Cafe' Launches its own Non-profit

September 1, 2017 - At the August 28, 2017 Church Council Meeting, Holy Joe's Cafe', which has been a ministry of our church since 2006, was voted to become it's own separate 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Holy Joe's Cafe', Inc.  The paperwork has been completed, their Board formed, their approval from the State of Connecticut finalized, and their federal 501(c)3 status pending, meaning that now donations to Holy Joe's can go directly to the new entity.  The mission of providing coffee, tea and hot chocolate to military chaplains and the troops continues!
